Yiannis Kouros was born in Tripoli, Arcadia, Greece, on 13th February 1956. He studied literature and music but his main love was athletics. He wrote hundreds of poems, composed many pieces of music and songs and he loves painting. He competed in hundreds of middle or long distance races and tens of marathons. In his career of ultra-running, Kouros won the following Ultra-marathons:
