Cliff Young Australian Six Day Race

            King Kouros crowned in Colac

GREEK Ultramarathon champion Yiannis Kouros has broken six world records in yet another triumph for the legendary athlete. The long distance runner was crowned champion of the Cliff Young Australain Six Day Race on Saturday, breaking six world records along the way.
Buoyed on by members of the Greek Community, Kouros at the age of 48, clocked just over 1,036km over the six day event, setting a new world record for kilometres covered in a six day race. He also broke the race record, which he himself set in 1984, along with new world record times for covering 500km and 1000km in his age group.
Kouros was amongst 37 entrants, the largest field ever, comleting the ultramarathon event at Colac's Memorial Square.
