ANNOUNCEMENT

As part of the Annual Three-Day Events in Honor of Yiannis Kouros, established by the Municipality of Tripoli, Arcadia, the following road races (outside stadium) are announced:

a.     1st International Double Marathon “Yiannis Kouros 2026”Date: 20 September 2026Route: Tripoli – Alonistaina – Vytina – Levidi – Tripoli

The race was established by Unanimous Decision of the Municipal Council of Tripoli [348/1-7-2025].

b.     1st International Half Marathon “Nikitaras 2026”Date: 19 September 2026Start: Ano Doliana, ArcadiaFinish: Areos Square, Tripoli

The race is a personal choice of Yiannis Kouros and a moral duty of the homeland to honor the liberating action and fighting spirit of the Hero of the Greek Revolution, Nikitas Stamatelopoulos – Nikitaras.
